W latach 1993-1999 pracował jako sekretarz i Kierownik Wydziału Konsularnego Ambasady RP w Trypolisie (Libia), w latach 2004-2010 był Ambasadorem RP w Królestwie Arabii Saudyjskieja (również akredyytowany jako nierezydujący Ambasador RP w Sułtamacie Omanu /od 2005/ oraz w Republice Jemenu /od 2009/). W latach 2012-2016 - Ambasador/Szef Delegatury Unii Europejskiej w Rijadzie akredytowany w Królestwie Arabii Saudyjskiej, Królestwie Bahrajnu, Państwie Kataru, Państwie Kuwejtu, Sułtanacie Omanu oraz Zjednoczonych Emiratch Arabskich (do czerwca 2013). Od 2016 do 2019 r. - Ambasador/Szef Delegatury Unii Europejskiej w Republice Dżibuti oraz przy IGAD. Obecnie jest ambasadorem Międzynarodowego Programu Powszechnej Dwujęzyczności „Dwujęzyczne Dzieci”/”Bilingual Future” oraz konsultantem/doradcą ds. międzynarodowych w sektorze prywatnym. Zna j. angielski, francuski, arabski, rosyjski, niemiecki (podstawowy), włoski (podstawowy).

Przewodniczący Rady Fundacji Schumana. W latach 80-tych działacz opozycji demokratycznej. W III Rzeczypospolitej pełnił m.in. funkcje posła na Sejm, Rektora Kolegium Europejskiego w Natolinie oraz Ambasadora RP przy Stolicy Apostolskiej. Organizował także Biuro Parlamentu Europejskiego w Waszyngtonie. Członek Rady Programowej Fundacji im. R. Schumana w Warszawie.

An EU official working at the European External Action Service (EEAS) where she occupies the position of Head of the Political, Information and Communication Section at the EU Delegation in Morocco. Prior to this, she was Acting Head of Division for EU Relations with the USA and Canada. She also worked as a Team Leader in the Iran Task Force, in charge of the implementation of the JCPOA, EU-Iran bilateral relations and regional issues.

Between 2011 and 2015, Ms Urbańska served as the advisor to the Deputy Secretary- General of the EEAS in charge of security and defence policy. Her responsibilities included a wide range of fields such as conflict prevention/mediation, human rights and development cooperation. Before the creation of the EEAS, she worked in the Cabinet of the European Parliament’s President Jerzy Buzek.

Before moving to Brussels, Ms Urbańska was an employee of the Jagiellonian University in Kraków, and worked in the private sector as a public relations officer.

Currently the Ambassador/Head of the Delegation of the European Union Delegation to Barbados, the Eastern Caribbean States, the OECS, and CARICOM/CARIFORUM

She previously served as Ambassador of the European Union to Jamaica, Belize, The Bahamas, Turks and Caicos Islands, and the Cayman Islands and prior to that, Head of Division for Conflict Prevention, Peace Building and Mediation at the Security Policy Directorate of the European External Action Service (EEAS) in Brussels. In this capacity, she led a team responsible for focusing the EU's work on conflict prevention and peacebuilding, providing mediation support to the EU Special Representative and Delegations, running the EU's Early Warning System for violent Conflict and developing a new framework for the EU's support to Security Sector Reform. In this role her team provided support to EU Delegations in: Syria, Colombia, Mali, Myanmar, Lebanon, South Sudan, Tanzania, Kenya, Mauritania, Nigeria, Burundi, Central African Republic, Guatemala, Great Lakes/DRC, Moldova, Bosnia Herzegovina, Guinea Bissau, Chad, Afghanistan, Kirgizstan and Tajikistan.

Previously, she was Head of Division for Elections and Democracy Support in the EEAS at the Directorate General for External Relations of the European Commission. She has managed Electoral Observation Missions of the EU to Democratic Republic of Congo, Tunisia, Nicaragua, Peru, Zambia, Southern Sudan (referendum for independence and elections), Uganda, Niger, Chad, Mozambique, Honduras, Bolivia, Togo, Ethiopia, Burundi, Solomon Islands, Guinea Conakry, Afghanistan, Rwanda, Tanzania, Ivory Coast, Sudan (elections and referendum).

Before joining the European Union, Ms Wasilewska worked as a senior specialist on issues of organizational governance and strategic planning at Amnesty International and Saferworld, both at the national and global level. Her main areas of specialization were organizational transition and growth, human rights, conflict sensitive development, post- conflict democracy building and non-proliferation of small arms and light weapons.
