The open lecture on "The Problem of European Identity in the European Union: Perspective from Lithuania" by Dr Andrius Švarplys will take place on the 9th of March 2017 (Thursday) at 13:30 in the Conference Room of Auditorium Maximum (ul. Krupnicza 33).

Dr Andrius Svarplys is a lecturer and a researcher at the Vytautas Magnus University in Kaunas, Lithuania. He specialises in political and social developments in Lithuania after post-communist transformations, European and national identities in the European Union, theories of European integration, and postmodern social theory. He headed research projects on various aspects of Lithuanian identity construction and Europeanisation, and participated in exploring the topics such as politics of memory and construction of national narratives in post-communist Lithuania.
