The exchange between future leaders and top policymakers

Winner of the European Charlemagne Youth Prize 2016, the Young European Council (YEC) fosters the exchange between future leaders and top policymakers. Previous speakers include, among many others, Commission Vice President Ms. Georgieva, Commissioner Ms. Hedegaard, Committee of the Regions President Mr. Markkula, and UN Women Brussels Director Ms. Schumacher.

This year we are proud to present three councils which will develop initiatives to address some of the most import_ant issues facing the European Union:

  • Labour Market Affairs Council: youth unemployment, unpaid internships and social mobility.

  • Home Affairs Council: migration crisis and related social issues.

  • Digital and Communications Affairs Council: opportunities and challenges of living in a technological world, including digital inclusion and the rise of misinformation.

We are recruiting for Council Delegate, Council Chair and Media Delegate positions. The deadline to apply is 30 June 2017.

I have included a brief paragraph below to promote our call for applications if you think this may be of interest.

The YEC is organized by Young European Leadership (YEL), a non-partisan international non-profit organization. I have enclosed a brief overview of the event, with more information on our website at: www.younglead.eu/yec.
