The Programme is coordinated by the Charles University and constitutes one of the specialisations in the European Studies Programmes at the Centre for European Studies JU. The students gain knowledge and expertise in issues connected to social and political phenomena that take place in contemporary Europe and have opportunity to study at four different universities: Charles University (Prague), Jagiellonian University in Kraków, Leiden University and Universitat Pompeu Fabra (Barceolna).

The inauguration ceremony took place in the Carolinum – the oldest complex of university buildings in this part of Europe and attended by students as well as representatives of all consortium partners. The CES was represented by the programme director and Dean of the Faculty of International and Political Studies Prof. Zdzisław Mach and programme coordinators: dr Karolina Czerksa-Shaw and Marcin Zubek.
