Summer School

Identities and Citizenship in Europe

Public spaces: aestheticization and citizenship

organized by University Matej Bel, Banská Bystrica, Slovakia

24 June – 5 July, 2013

Summer School will gather  students and teachers from Bulgaria, France, Hungary, Slovakia and Poland.

Programme will consist of lectures, seminars, workshops and individual research in the areas of:

- Citizenship, media and public spaces

- Public spaces: aestheticization and citizenship
- Religions and European identities

- Local/Global, identities and citizenships in Europe

- Citizenships and environment in Europe

Accommodation, meals and travel will be covered by Organiser.

Who can apply?

MA and PhD students (European Studies, Political Sciences, Sociology) affiliated at Jagiellonian University, that are citizens of one of the EU countries.

Good knowledge of English is essential. Knowledge of French will be an advantage, but is not mandatory.
