The Berlin-Karlshorst Museum and the Institute of European Studies of the Jagiellonian University deepen cooperation

The Berlin-Karlshorst Museum and the Institute of European Studies of the Jagiellonian University deepen cooperation

Prof. Krzysztof Koźbiał, Director of our Institute, and Dr. Mirosław Natanek met yesterday in Berlin with representatives of the Berlin-Karlshorst Museum - Dr. Jörg Morré, director of the museum, and Christoph Meißner, to talk about further cooperation.
Future projects include the legacy of the Second World War and how to present its many perspectives.

A joint conference dedicated to the heritage of the late-1980s and 1990s is planned for December 2024.

The museum is located in the highly symbolic building of the former Wehrmacht officers' casino where the act of capitulation of the Third Reich was signed on May 1945.  It is dedicated to German-Soviet relations and, especially, the German-Soviet front of the war 1941–1945. You can find an online exhibit here: https://www.museum-karlshorst.de/en.
