We invite you to a meeting with Ukrainian writer Ksena Tsyganchuk – 27 February (Tuesday), 16:30, room 010

We warmly invite you to a meeting with the Ukrainian writer, Ksena Tsyganchuk, on Tuesday, 27 February at 16:30 in room 010 at ul. Reymonta 4. The meeting is hosted by the Institute of European Studies, the Department of Polish-Ukrainian Studies of the Jagiellonian University, the College of Eastern Europe (KEW), the European Studies Study Circle and the ‘Wernyhora’ Study Circle.

Ksena Tsyganchuk has published many crime and horror novels. She has received the Ukrainian literary award ‘Coronation of the Word’ (a ‘Golden Pistol’ distinction for the best action-packed crime story), the Mykhailo Dubov Prize, and many others. She takes an active part in the literary life of Ukraine.

During the meeting at the Institute, the author will talk about two of her crime novels, Who Killed You? and Irrefutable Evidence, her cooperation with the police, publishing in Ukraine during the war, and how she wrote both books. The author will be happy to answer all questions.

At the meeting, you will be able to purchase her novels with a dedication by the author.

Prof Kinga Anna Gajda and Dr Olga Kich-Masłej are responsible for the meeting. The meeting was prepared by members of both European Studies and Wernyhora student clubs.

The conversation will be led by Anastasiia Zvarych and Vladyslav Stanovskyi. Tsyganchuk will speak in Ukrainian with simultaneous translation to Polish.
