As part of the preparation for the 30th anniversary of the Institute of European Studies, 20 years of membership in the EU, and Europe Day - the first-year LIC students of our Institute participated in a two-part podcasting workshop led by John Beauchamp of Free Range Productions.
John was not only a graduate of the early days of the Euroculture programme at our Institute, but these days he is well-known international journalist, working with the BBC, PAP, and the Europa Nostra Heritage Hub for Central and Eastern Europe in Kraków. Students learned how to build a compelling narrative for their podcasts, and then they went into the field to practice recording with professional audio recording equipment and discover the tricks of the trade in editing software.
