"The Green Border" and panel discussion "War & the Weaponisation of Migration. The Green Border, Two Years On. What Now?"

Students of the Institute of European Studies of the Jagiellonian University met yesterday evening at the Paradox cinema to watch Agnieszka Holland's film "The Green Border" and to discuss the situation on the Polish-Belarusian border, including the use of migration as a weapon in contemporary conflicts.
After the screening, there was a panel discussion: "War & the Weaponisation of Migration. The Green Border, Two Years On. What Now?"

Experts from universities, research institutions, cultural bodies, and non-governmental organizations across Eastern European countries convened to share their groundbreaking research findings (a.o. scholars from Lithuania, Latvia, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Germany, and Poland (including representants institutes at the Faculty of International and Political Studies).

Visiting scholar from Florida Atlantic University (FAU) recounts his experience in Krakow

Prof. Victor Menco Haeckermann writes about his experiences in Poland and at the Jagiellonian University as a visiting scholar. Thanks to a grant from Florida Atlantic University’s Center for Peace, Justice, and Human Rights, in spring 2023, Prof. Haeckermann was able to travel here to learn about the revival of Jewish life in Poland after 1945.
