We covered everything from the mysteries of USOSweb and student IDs through what kinds of ‘Culture Surprises’ we can expect and how to cope with them.

We warmly invite you to a meeting with the Ukrainian writer, Ksena Tsyganchuk, on Tuesday, 27 February at 16:30 in room 010 at ul. Reymonta 4. The meeting is hosted by the Institute of European Studies, the Department of Polish-Ukrainian Studies of the Jagiellonian University, the College of Eastern Europe (KEW), the European Studies Study Circle and the ‘Wernyhora’ Study Circle.

MA in East European and Eurasian Studies - Applications now open

The MA in East European and Eurasian Studies (MIREES) is a unique joint degree programme jointly delivered by the University of Bologna, Vytautas Magnus University, and the University of Zagreb with the participation of Jagiellonian University as a mobility partner.

The call for applications for the academic year 2024/2025 is now open and will close on 14 March at 13:00 CET.

The Berlin-Karlshorst Museum and the Institute of European Studies of the Jagiellonian University deepen cooperation

Prof. Krzysztof Koźbiał, Director of our Institute, and Dr. Mirosław Natanek met yesterday in Berlin with representatives of the Berlin-Karlshorst Museum - Dr. Jörg Morré, director of the museum, and Christoph Meißner, to talk about further cooperation.
Future projects include the legacy of the Second World War and how to present its many perspectives.
