International conference "The End of the International Law?"
Student Scientific Association of International Law operating at the Faculty of Law and Administration, University of Lodz is pleased to invite you to attend the international conference "THE END OF THE INTERNATIONAL LAW?", which will take place on April 27, 2017 at the Faculty of Law and Administration, University of Lodz.
The conference will be divided into several thematic panels concerning various fields of international law. More specifically, it will look at the potential limits of international law, its significance in the light of the dynamic development of national legislation and reflect on which areas of international law are in continual transformation and which have not seen major changes for a long time. We also wish to discuss the impact of actions undertaken by international organizations on states as well as current role of multilateral treaties and bilateral agreements and decide which ones are the most likely to succeed in harmonizing international relations.
Proposed thematic areas are:
- Diplomatic law
- Law of treaties
- Regulations regarding territories
- International organizations
- International disputes settlement
The conference will be held in English. The conference fee is 50 zł / 12 euro, which includes e.g. materials for participants as well as post-conference online publication.
Abstracts no longer than one side A4 please send to our e-mail address: knpm@wpia.uni.lodz.pl. Deadline for submitting abstracts is 31 March 2017 r. The organisers reserve the right to select the best submitted abstracts.
