On Wednesday, 13 December, the Institute of European Studies held our annual Holiday celebrations for Students, Instructors, and Staff from all our programmes in both Polish and English.
Our 13 December holiday party for students and staff this year was notable for bringing together students from the whole of the Institute, with students from both Polish- and English-language programmes at all levels of study.
There was an ugly Christmas sweater competition, karaoke carolling, and, the most intense event of the evening, a speed-szopki competition in which teams of students grabbed a selection of materials and crafted a Krakow Szopka in 15 minutes! There was glue and glitter everywhere, but the results were surprisingly creative. We also shared snacks (including some home-baked cakes and biscuits that students brought) and lots of opportunities to chat and integrate.
