Dr Łucja Piekarska-Duraj

Office: room 606

Sociologist and social anthropologist studying the dynamics of social memory and identity, her special area of interest being museums. PhD in sociology. Her professional experience includes various collaborations with museums and other heritage institutions, making her a keen interpreter as well as analyst of heritage. Awarded several scholarships and awards (Polish Ministry of Culture and Heritage, Association des Centres culturels de dialogue (FR); Małopolska Marshal’s Office). Has served as an expert of the Council of Europe contributing to the Routes4U protest). Co-authored a manual on heritage interpretation in museums. Currently involved in research about populism, teaching about Europe and its heritage and projects related to collective memory formation.
