We are delighted to announce the publication of 'The Collapse of the Bipolar World and the New Identity in Eastern Europe and Its Sub-Regions', edited by Kinga Anna Gajda (2026, Studies in Politics, Security and Society, Vol. 66).

In the first days of February this year, a new book by Dr hab. Tadeusz Kopyś, Professor at the Jagiellonian University, was released under the title A History of Modern Hungary, 1848–1990. The volume guides readers through 150 years of Hungary’s turbulent past, placing national developments within the broader context of transformations across Central Europe.

The book explores mediation as a broad and versatile phenomenon, demonstrating its applicability across a variety of conflict types and adaptability in different contexts – ranging from disputes between states to conflicts within the private sector.

The book evaluates the implementation of the Council of Europe Convention on Preventing and Combating Violence against Women and Domestic Violence, otherwise called the Istanbul Convention, as part of ongoing debates on gender equality and human rights treaties compliance in Europe.

The latest issue of "Studia Migracyjne – Przegląd Polonijny", entitled "International Migration and Heritage", has just been released. The guest editor of this edition is Kinga Anna Gajda, with Jan Brzozowski serving as the journal’s editor-in-chief. Karolina Czerska-Shaw also contributed to the preparation of the issue.
