The times for registration for courses offered at the Institute of European Studies are listed here. 

Erasmus and other international exchange students are welcome to register for English-language courses at the Institute of European Studies provided that there is sufficient space, and the course has not been filled to capacity (full-time degree students of the Jagiellonian University may have priority for some courses).  There are some kinds of courses (like Methodology or Thesis Seminars) at the Institute that are reserved for students in specific degree programmes, but other students will not see them in their available registrations on USOSweb.

All students must have a sufficiently high level of English to participate fully in class. Students whose English is considered inadequate by the instructor may be denied a place. Courses designed for exchange students will generally be aimed at a minimum of B2 level, but courses that are part of a postgraduate programme may expect C1.

 

Registration for courses at the Institute of European is through the online USOSweb system. 
 

 

Students should attend the first meeting of all courses that they hope to register for, even if registration has not yet been possible. Students must officially register for their courses online in USOSweb, using their university login and password provided by the International Students Office. The course instructors do not have the ability to directly alter a student’s timetable to add them to a course. 

 

Students who wish to withdraw from a European Studies course in which they are enrolled must do so online on USOSweb.

 

If a course registration shows that it is completely full, interested students should check the course in the USOSweb system regularly to see whether any places become free before the deadline for withdrawal. Students often make changes to their timetable in the first week of classes.  Any necessary case-by-case adjustment to courses lists will be done by the Institute Registrar only after regular USOSweb registration has closed.
