We concluded the #TED4UJ_ISE series with a meeting featuring Prof. Teresa Sasińska‑Klas – a distinguished expert in media and politics, and the founding Director of the Institute of Journalism, Media and Social Communication at the Jagiellonian University. On this occasion, students of the Faculty of International and Political Studies had the opportunity to attend a lecture and engage in discussion on the Security Action for Europe programme.

International conference of the ENLARGE project, Jean Monnet Network

From June 1-3, 2026, Institute of European Studies hosted the conference "The Legacy of the Big Bang EU Enlargement: Lessons Learned and Future Prospects." This was the first conference within the ENLARGE project, coordinated by the University of Bologna, of which ISE is one of the partners.

Meeting with Representatives of the Poznań Science and Technology Park

On 26 May 2026, the Institute of European Studies at the Jagiellonian University had the pleasure of hosting representatives of the Poznań Science and Technology Park (PPNT), at the invitation of Prof. Krzysztof Koźbiał (UJ). The visitors included Prof. Dominika Narożna (UAM), Dr Justyna Adamska and Dr Dawid Zieliński. PPNT operates within the Adam Mickiewicz University Foundation and plays a key role in supporting start-ups, facilitating the commercialisation of knowledge and technology, promoting sustainable development, and advancing science communication.

Visit of Students from Hochschule Fulda

Last week, we had the pleasure of hosting students from the Human Rights Studies in Politics, Law and Society programme at Hochschule Fulda. We prepared a programme that included a presentation of our Institute and its English-taught degree programmes, a series of lectures, as well as study visits to the Multicultural Centre in Kraków and the WIOSNA Association. The visit also featured a tour of Kazimierz and a picnic with our students.

Student Mediations during the “Night of Courts” in Rzeszów

On 22 May 2026, students from our Institute had the opportunity to take part in the unique “Night of Courts” event, during which they were able to gain first-hand insight into the functioning of the justice system and participate in a simulated mediation. Through workshops and practical exercises, students experienced the crucial role that communication, negotiation and the ability to build mutual understanding play in resolving disputes.

Establishing cooperation between the Institute of European Studies and the organisation “Polish Enclave in Brazil”

We are pleased to announce the establishment of cooperation between the Institute of European Studies and the Polish Enclave in Brazil – an initiative actively engaged in supporting the Polish diaspora in Brazil, particularly in the region of Áurea, often referred to as the “Polish capital of Brazil”.
