On 19 May, we had the pleasure of hosting Ambassador Jan Truszczyński at our Institute – a distinguished diplomat, former Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to the European Union, and one of the architects of Poland’s integration with the European Union. Serving as the Government Plenipotentiary for Accession Negotiations, he led, on behalf of the Polish government, the negotiations on Poland’s EU membership.

Celebration of Europe Day!
On Friday, 8 May, we celebrated Europe Day, which this year formed part of the 25th anniversary celebrations of the Faculty of International and Political Studies, Jagiellonian University. The full‑day event was designed and delivered by students from the European Studies Student Research Society and the German‑Speaking Area Student Research Society. We rounded off this vibrant and energetic day with a faculty picnic, complete with a barbecue and a game of boules.
