At the seminar “Giving a Face to the EU: Inside EU Policymaking and Global Challenges,” held on 9 December, we hosted three EU officials: Andrew MacKinlay, Paola Lo Bue Oddo, and Monika Janikowska.

On 8 December, as part of the WSMiP Library Meetings series, we discussed the book by Dr Małgorzata Fijał entitled 'Padania. Od źródeł idei do próby stworzenia nowego narodu w północnych Włoszech' [Padania: From the Sources of the Idea to an Attempt to Create a New Nation in Northern Italy].

On 25 November, the Institute of European Studies hosted Prof. Kristína Kočišová from the Technical University of Košice, who delivered a lecture entitled "Banks, Money, and Financial Stability." The lecture was organised within the CEEPUS network and the PROSPER Jean Monnet Network.

We are pleased to invite you to the second part of the conference “Women in Diplomacy and Academia: New Challenges for Polish Foreign Policy,” which will be held on 15 December, from 12:45 to 4:30 p.m., in rooms 018 and 302 at the Faculty of International and Political Studies, Jagiellonian University. This edition of the conference will focus on women in politics and the arts. The eventwill be held in Polish.

On 4 December 2025, Prof. Kinga Anna Gajda signed, on behalf of the Institute of European Studies, an agreement with the Beskidy Euroregion, a cross-border cooperation association that brings together partners from Poland and the Czech Republic and supports the development of the border area and joint local initiatives.
