Mobility programmes

CEEPUS

CEEPUS

Since 1995, CEEPUS (Central European Exchange Programme for University Studies) has enabled students to travel on transnational exchange to partner universities in Central Europe within an academic network, or as a freemover.

Mobility within academic networks

Students, doctoral researchers and academic staff wishing to undertake mobility within an academic network should register with CEEPUS at ceepus.info. Once an account has been created, mobility applications can be submitted via the CEEPUS Mobility Desktop.

Application deadlines

  • Winter semester: 1 June
  • Summer semester: 1 November

Outgoing mobility is available only to EU citizens.

Freemover mobility

Freemover mobilities are intended for students and researchers from CEEPUS member countries who pursue mobility outside of an existing academic network at a university in another CEEPUS country. The consent of the host university is required. You should submit your application no later than 1 July (for a winter semester exchange) or 1 November (for a spring semester exchange).

The Institute of European Studies is a member of the following network:

  • University of Belgrade (Serbia)

Information for outgoing staff:

  • Please remember to complete and submit a travel application at least 2–3 weeks before departure.

  • Travel costs are funded in the form of a lump-sum scholarship, administered through the sending university. The lump-sum amount specified in the relevant regulation issued by the Director of NAWA applies to each individual outgoing mobility application and covers one journey to the mobility destination and one return journey.

The funds are paid to the scholarship holder by the sending university after the mobility has been completed and correctly reported in the CEEPUS system, subject to submission of the required documentation: Letter of Confirmation & Mobility Report

  • Within 7 days of returning, please upload your Letter of Confirmation to the CEEPUS system and complete the Mobility Report at ceepus.info. The Letter of Confirmation will be provided by the host university.

  • The Letter of Award must be attached to the travel application.

  • The Letter of Confirmation must be attached when settling the travel expenses, either in the relevant system or as a paper copy.

Without these documents, it will not be possible to settle the mobility.

If you have any questions about the mobility procedure, please contact Marta Bucewka.
