On 25 June 2026, the Faculty of International and Political Studies at the Jagiellonian University will host the international academic conference entitled “The Iron Curtain and the Politics of Memory”. The event will focus on the memory of the Iron Curtain, memory politics, national identity, and contemporary political narratives in Central and Eastern Europe.

The Institute of European Studies at the Faculty of International and Political Studies of the Jagiellonian University is pleased to invite you to participate in the international academic conference entitled “The Topos of ‘Victim’ in the Politics of Historical Memory, National Memory (including Memory Politics) of Central and Eastern European and Balkan Countries”, which will take place on 24 June 2026 in Kraków.

Cull from the USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism, University of Southern California, entitled “Reputational Security: Renewing the Argument for Cultural Diplomacy”. The event will take place on Friday, 26 June, at 10:30, in room 038 at the Faculty of International and Political Studies, Jagiellonian University (WSMiP UJ), and will be held online.

Join us for a meeting with Anna Kondratova, the Head of the Department for Economic Development and Financial Policy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine’s Research Service. The meeting will be held online on 10 June (Wednesday) at 15:00, on MS Teams.
