„Is Visegrad Europe doomed really?”

On 16–17 April 2026, the international conference Joint MA in International Relations: Europe from the Visegrad Perspective entitled “Is Visegrad Europe Really Doomed?” took place in Pilsen. The programme is coordinated by Dr Grzegorz Pożarlik from Jagiellonian University. Hosted by the University of West Bohemia, the event brought together experts, academics and students from the Visegrad Group countries and across Europe.

Friday, 8 May 2026 has been designated as a day free from teaching activities for students across all programmes at the Institute of European Studies (under the Director’s discretionary hours). This decision is linked to the celebration of 🇪🇺 Europe Day - a long‑standing tradition of our Institute - which this year also forms part of the 25th anniversary of the Faculty. Students are warmly encouraged to take part in the events.
