“Patron’s Laurel” Gala at the Villa Decius Institute for Culture

On 29 January 2026, Professor Kinga Anna Gajda, Director of the Institute of European Studies, together with Svetlana Baranova, who coordinates internships for English‑speaking students assigned to Villa Decius, attended the distinguished “Patron’s Laurel” ceremony at the invitation of the Villa Decius Institute for Culture. The event was also joined by Professor Bożena Gierat‑Bieroń, a member of the Villa Decius Association.

Collaboration with the Józef Bem Polish Cultural Association in Budapest

During his stay in Budapest, Dr Tadeusz Kopyś initiated cooperation between the Institute of European Studies and the Józef Bem Polish Cultural Association in Budapest – one of the oldest and most active Polish diaspora organisations in Hungary. For many years, the Association has been dedicated to preserving Polish culture, language and traditions, supporting the integration of the Polish community, and organising cultural and educational events for Poles living in Hungary.

The Polish–Dutch Cultural Association has become a new stakeholder of the Institute of European Studies

The Polish–Dutch Cultural Association (PNKV) is an organisation operating in the Netherlands since 1980, which for more than 40 years has promoted Polish culture among Poles and the Dutch, and supports Polish–Dutch integration through the organisation of cultural events, concerts, exhibitions, social and recreational activities.

The Institute of European Studies has entered into a collaboration agreement with the Museum of Folk Culture in Kolbuszowa

An ethnographic institution of regional significance, the Museum of Folk Culture in Kolbuszowa is dedicated to safeguarding and promoting the cultural heritage of the Lasowiak and Rzeszowiak communities. Its collections offer a rich portrayal of traditional rural life, showcasing historic wooden architecture, artisanal crafts, folk attire, and a range of material and spiritual heritage. The Museum also undertakes extensive educational and research activity, engaging diverse audiences with the history and cultural traditions of the region.
